Physical Install to Live DVD/CD ala Remastersys that works and maintined.

Title pretty much says it all...

I am looking for software that is current and maintained similar to Remastersys etc. that will take a installed box and turn it in to a LiveDVD/CD that will then allow it to be installed to another box.

I am NOT interested in any manual methodology which which is what probably creates the live ISO's that we all use. chroots, and mystic dd comands, pre seed etc... which likely can eradicate a working system in one key press.

Surely there is something that has come along to take the place of Remastersys etc.. for newer distors...

Most of the those in the vein of Remastersys including its siblings all seem to die at some point mainly in that that they can't work with certain changes in the distros... thats a debate I don't wish to get into in this thread...

ie: These, are NOT the solution I am looking for:

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Li...ionFromScratch
    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomization

https://sourceforge.net/projects/uck/ - This one is DOA, no current support,devlopment...

Cubic - DOES NOT take a EXISTING to LIVE.. it does some sort of modifications to ISO's... and from some of the stuff I read, its not very usable or reliable.

I would prefer if it supports ESR releases from 12.04 to 18.04. At worst 16.04 and 18.04 only, but having 12.04 and 14.04 would be better... (Yes, I realize one is old, and no longer supported and one will be EOL soon, thats another debate for another time and place, thanks.)

    Why?

The software I am looking to have preinstalled, 99.9999999999% of it all requires it be compiled, this 99.99999999999999999% users can't install it... Yes most of its gotten better in that it actually compiles now that complete AND ACCURATE receipes are provided...but thats not on the official sites... its so outdated its not funny. This too is a rant for another thread, day, time and place... Suffice it to say creating a LiveDVD from the installed setups is the route..

The Pi's make it easy some what in that you just have a Pi, set it all up, and copy the SD card to another... (Nope, don't go there on dd! I don't need a 1-4TB image to have to try to move around, nor is this usable for DL. )

What rock am I not turning over to find this??

    Thanks!
