    [SOLVED] Chrome Upgrade Issue

SOLVED: CHROME ISSUE WAS DUE TO A BROKEN OS

    Code:
[FONT=monospace]E: Repository 'http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb stable Release' changed its 'Origin' value from 'Google, Inc.' to 'Google LLC'
N: This must be accepted explicitly before updates for this repository can be applied. See apt-secure(8) manpage for details.r[/FONT]
I was able to fix this with just sudo apt-get update, and then accepting with Y
[#]Do you want to accept these changes and continue updating from this repository? [y/N]

    [/#]
Now get this, and don't know if it is normal?\
    [#]E: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

    [/#]
I'm going to run sudo apt-get upgrade now to see what happens. Is that warning temporary, or is it doing to come back next time I update? Is it just the distro telling me it will no longer download from that link?

A few sites suggested running "sudo apt-get update, and then accepting with Y" and that would fix this, but it don't seem to be fixed?

Downloading the Signing Key and running:
        Code:
        [COLOR=#006600][FONT=&quot]wget -q -O - https://dl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -[/FONT][/COLOR]
        Output
        Code:
        [FONT=monospace]wget -q -O - https://dl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
        OK[/FONT]
Ran :sudo apt update" again and get the same:
"E: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/de...stable/Release E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead."

I've never had so many issues with an Operating System than this version of Kubuntu. I can't post properly, and Chrome keeps asking me to be Default

Every time I come back to this site after closing Chrome my last post is open, and has not been submitted that I can tell. I'm really on my last nerve here guys and am spending more time fixing things than working on stuff

If I go to Software Center can't uninstall the old Signing Keys?

I reinstalled Chrome Fresh from google.com and still have this issue?

Here is my key-list if someone will help me. I would think the new Signing Key is installed because I did a fresh install of Chrome, but that doesn't look like the case here?

Because you're having problems, I suggest you back up ~/.config/google-chrome somewhere convenient (just in case) and then purge google-chrome using sudo apt purge google-chrome-stable. Then, go to https://www.google.com/chrome/ and follow the onscreen instructions including the step which allows the installation process to add a ppa to your system for future updates.

I had problems with Chromium also, and purged that, and still have issue with it, what gives with all this garbage? Never had so many problems with an os in my life. Can't use The Cube either, one of the reasons I install Kubuntu! I think I'm done brother, but thanks for the help.

I did a lot of work to this laptop and put a brand new WD Black drive in it. Did everything by the book basically, and still having multiple issues on a fresh install. This simply does not bode well for Kubuntu.

Google Search: "kwallet keeps asking for wifi password"
                          "About 46,900 results"

This was the very first issue, which I hope for the Kubuntu devs is why I'm having Problems. Did stuff get corrupted during this miserable phase, I don't know. Wifi kept dropping until this was resolved. Kwallet should be disabled by default IMO. I think I ran a fsck, but would have to look at my notes because I've had so many issues. Perhaps after I cool down I will reinstall, but then what about Kwallet trying to get my Wifi Password, what do I do about that other than ignore it? Is that normal?

What do you have to back up that moronic statement? With all due respect to you, please stay out of my Threads. All the best, thanks.

I downloaded, checked the hash, created USB Install media and Verified it. Installed like I have countless time throughout the years, and nothing but problems.

The only thing I can think of at this time that may have caused an issue is, I used my Yumi Multiboot to install. I've been told by many that this works with most Ubuntu based distro's but I won't do it again just to be safe.

Does anyone else think it could be my Graphics causing issues?: Radeon HD 6620G. I notice when I booted 16.04 I had some graphics glitches during boot, and then seem to go away while I'm using 16.04. I say this befause I was thinking to go back to an older distro to see if I can get a more stable platform for this older AMD junk laptop. Actually a nice little laptop but I've had better experiences with Intel and Linux.

Some are saying the Open Source Drivers are not all that good. RadeonDriver say it is good to go, but there is no mention of the "G" in Radeon 6620G. omgubuntu say to avoid 16.04 even for this reason, but I assume this is for folks that want the best performance and not just general use. I do like to use the Cube though, and perhaps that caused me issues I don't know. When using the Cube I did not experience any issues, though it stopped working all together the last few times I booted.

                            So to summarize:
                            1. Has anyone had issues installing with Yumi.
                            2. Has anyone had issues with this APU: Radeon HD 6620G

                            Thanks
