Can't get Desktop Effect The Cube working

Pretty much says it all. Don't know what happened because I had it working well at one point.

Well, what did you do just before it stopped working well?

"Well" it don't work at all lol. If I stay with Kubuntu I will reinstall because I'm having so many issues. I had issues with Kwallet and Wifi that may or may not have contributed to these issues. The weird thing is, The Cube worked fine for a while, and this was all after all the Wifi/Kwallet drama.

May want to save your data files, then do a clean install, then restore your data.

I avoid kwallet like the plague, I've never liked how it worked.

No real data files, I keep all my data files on USB's so that I can be mobile and jump from computer to computer. Haven't decided yet what I'm going to do. Just don't want to waste more precious time.

I will avoid kwallet but see the advantages of it for sure.

It's post's like THIS though that make me want to just move on. Been using Linux for a long time and never had this many issues.

So just for kicks and giggles, I went into Synaptic and installed Chromium - works O.K. I have no use for it, so I'll install it eventually.

So where did you get the Chrome browser package? It's possible that the source package was somehow incompatible with Kubuntu or at leats some version of Kubuntu.
