I have a problem with my fingerprint reader. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x201. The fingerprint software works everywhere except for the login and lock screens. On the login screen the fingerprint reader doesn't turn on until I press enter. It will light up and say login failed. So I type my password, hit enter, and then it lights up. But I've already typed my password.
On the lock screen it's the same except for how it logs in. It won't light up until I hit enter. But there's no password so it says failed. If I type my password and hit enter it still says failed. I have to type my password, hit enter, and then scan my finger for it to unlock. Anyway to get the scanner to trigger without hitting enter? The problem is after I hit enter the computer is expecting a password, not giving me time for a swipe.
