Unable to install Plasma Widgets from KDE store via Firefox

If I go to the KDE store (and it's working) I get an error when I try to install a widget while browsing with Firefox version 62.03. A google search in Firefox help did not help. I get the following error message:
Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (ocs) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

It seems to be that way for a few hours now. And searching the net for "Unknown Open Collaboration Service API error" shows that it's not infrequent.

It's more than a few hours, more like weeks.

        I guess that's proof I just use Kubuntu's defaults

I am just trying to get the most out of, what is for my money, the best operating system I have ever used. At least these problems can be described as annoyances in that they do not break my usual workflow. However, still looking for an answer...

It is working right now (= 07:51 GMT). Though I should mention that if you experience memory leaks, widgets could be the source.

Sorry, I went to sleep and it's 9 hours later and still no change. (9:09 pm)
