    [SOLVED] Popcorn time movie stream

    Hi. It has been a long while. Busy. I really like Beaver so far. Just one thing I am encountering, is the installation of popcorn time movie streamer.

    This what I did under 17.10:

    Code:
    $ wget https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Popcorn-Time-0.3.10-Linux-64.tar.xz -O popcorntime.tar.xz
    wget https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Popcorn-Time-0.3.10-Linux-64.tar.xz -O popcorntime.tar.xz
    sudo ln -sf /opt/popcorntime/Popcorn-Time /usr/bin/Popcorn-Time
    sudo nano /usr/share/applications/popcorntime.desktop
    Always get a " cannot find command" from the first line.

    Any ideas?

    I have a lot of ideas, but nothing that would help solve your problem. One idea I have is to welcome you back, Fintan. Holy cow -- it has been awhile! Nice to hear from you.

      O.K., your wget looks like this:
      Code:
      3. To overwrite the log file of the wget command

      wget http://www.example.com/filename.txt -o /path/filename.txt
      Are you entering -o or -0?

        The command is wget. I assume you installed it. (It still works under Neon)

          Yeah and thanks same here. Turns out Kubuntu is just getting more and more boring. NO more drivers to install/tweek. Or wierd software install issues (except for this one No more dist install/upgrade issues. Boring )

            And I am going senile.

            Instead of:

            $ wget https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Pop...inux-64.tar.xz -O popcorntime.tar.xz

            I copy and pasted so I actually did:

            $ $ wget https://get.popcorntime.sh/build/Pop...inux-64.tar.xz -O popcorntime.tar.xz

            All good now.

              Yeah, I know what you mean. Same here. I've been bored for a long time, running 14.04, just simply absolutely no problems to solve -- no challenge. In fact, I get so bored not having any problems with Kubuntu, that now and then I will break my booting setup so I have something to work on. Recently, I even managed to blow out my PCs firmware and had to re-flash it, which thankfully, gave me something to do and broke my boredom that comes with running a near-perfect Kubuntu OS.

                Then obviously you bored folks need to re-install using Btrfs as the root filesystem!

                The dividends are enormous!
