Intel Baytrail CPU C State Bug Still Not Fixed

    Hi,

I installed current Kubuntu 18.04 64Bit to my thin client the other day.
I hooked it up to my 50" television and left it running and went back to watching news on TV.
I came back to the thin client today and saw that the desktop was frozen and had to do a hard reset.

Thin client had the infamous Intel Celeron "Baytrail" CPU which has a bug with C State.
I was hoping this was fixed in 18.04 (it IS fixed on current Manjaro KDE 64Bit).
I guess my only option is to disable CPU's C State in Grub and BIOS?

    Just wondering...

I will guess that manjaro has a newer kernel than 18.04
Baytrail cstate is still problematic as wifi and/or bluetooth drivers can effect this bug. I don't see an official kernel fix but there have been patches for 4.15 kernels iirc
I have been following this for a while now, but only very casually lately. I haven't even tried anything on my baytrail mini laptop in a while.

Check out linuxium to see if there are any notes or updates.

Ok, I disabled it in Grub and BIOS.
Yes, I was running 4.15 Linux Kernel when using Manjaro KDE 64Bit.
I liked Manjaro alot, but having a rolling release distro is subject to frequent problems.
(don't have the time to fix it all the time)
