I doubt it. Kubuntu has defaulted to Cantata in the past releases.

I would expect it to be packaged eventually in KDE Neon, which is based off of 16.04.

in case we did not read the release announcement correctly ...this is just a bugfix release . it's still the same KDElibs-4 Qt-4 version that we have now ,but with a bunch of bugfix's
the NEW KDElibs-5 Qt-5 version is still being worked on .

but it is coming soon .

Everything you have said is true, but for a project that was written off as dead, any work (even a bugfix release) is a welcome sight for these eyes!

Right - I was meaning the Qt5 version when released. Sorry for not being more clear.

I've uploaded it. Should hopefully be built and in -release pocket for testing in a short while.
