Hi
the system is/was a Kubuntu 18.04 clean install.
It is an Asus 4110 all-in-one.
Just a few weeks ago the loginscreen does not appear any more,
it hangs in the splashscreen.
I have been searching loads of forums, but so far without result.
I can reach the recovery mode and command-prompt at least.
Gave "nomodeset xforgevesa" as bootparameters.
With a live CD and Chroot made all updates (apt update, apt upgrade).
But no result.
I found "https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php/70875-desktop-manager-fail-after-a-dist-upgrade"
but this was no upgrade.
Anyone an idea?
Regards,
Jan
