Wakeup issue - crash

Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, QT 5.9.5 , KDE Frameworks 5.44 , Plasma 5.12.6
The system works quite well. When I leave the computer on, after a while I see the login screen and I can login normally. If I try to login after longer time the login screen does not react (the clock shows the same time). So the only thing that I can do is to hard shutdown and restart.
I have no idea how to find out the reason or to fix the problem...

what you are seeing afterleaving the computer on for a wile is not the login screen (it dose look like it) but the lock screen .

you can disable it in system settings>Desktop Behavior>Screen locking .

have you fully updated the system since installing ?

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get  dist-upgrade
