      Should be removed.

      I have abandoned this install. Hopefully my other install on UEFI SSD with BTRFS will overcome the quirkiness of this one.

        Your "other install" can't affect the quirky one, unless you've mixed the installations by cross polinating subvolumes, or using chroot!
