    Hidden SSID Connection

I want to stop broadcasting my SSID. I know how to do that in the router software. I know also that Kubuntu network connections table allows me to specify that the network is hidden. My question is this: in what sequence should I do these two operations? That is, should I hide the network first and then edit the connections table, or the other way 'round?

    Thanks.

Personally, I would just rename the current connection (somethingOPEN), make the change in your router, then add a new connection. Verify the new connection works, then delete the renamed one.
