Further to my recent thread https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...on-2nd-attempt
I now find that network no longer works at all.

Now just to explain in detail, my understanding is that I should just type the ip address or computer name into the address box at the top. Now I understand that if the address starts with smb then it's looking for a samba share, however I don't really understand the difference between network and remote. Seems to me they should both search the LAN.
If the prefix is network I get nothing at all and if the prefix is remote I get an error message: Malformed URL remote:/192.168.xx.x.
Any suggestion please.
