    [KDE] network-manager buggy and slow

Hey guys, I just installed Kubuntu on my main computer, and now I had the problem that the default network manager behaves unexpectedly.

At first, I connected to my Network ("NetworkName"), then for an eternity, nothing happened. Suddenly, there were "clones" of my network, named NetworkName 1; 2; 3 etc.
Then I managed to connect to my real network, but downloads in Steam used only 1/10 of the speed, everything concerning internet was generally very slow and it even disconnected me from my network a few times and took forever to reconnect.

I have since removed network-manager and installed WICD, which works great and gives me full speed and stability, but I'm curious as to why the default network manager behaves so badly. Does anyone here have an idea how to fix this, I quite liked the tray menu it provided

What is your make and model for your PC.. NetworkManager works great with my Acer V3-771G.

The info GreyGeek, and others, may need can be found by opening konsole and entering
      Code:
      inxi -Fxz
. If you don't have "inxi", it can be installed by entering
      Code:
      sudo apt install inxi
      in a konsole session.

Ya, I'm familiar with it and suggest its use on occasions. Dittos with https://github.com/UbuntuForums/wireless-info

Yep. Probably another drive-by poster, it happens.

This is what comes up. My PC is custom built but has worked flawlessly with Windows for almost 5 years now.

I've since reinstalled my Kubuntu, and the issue somewhat persisted when I first started up, but I switched to LAN now, and after some hiccups
in the beginning it seems to work as expected now. Though there's no telling how it will react after the next reboot. Oh, and I also installed dnsmasq for good measures
