    No sound from Speakers

so i just installed kubuntu to try out linux everything works fine except this issue with audio
both the headphones and speakers are connected to my PC but it doesn't detect the speakers if i disable auto mute from alsamixer i get audio from both the speakers and headphones at the same and i dont want that i want to choose which device to output audio from like on Windows. i tried updating the kernel, installing it uefi or bios mode still no luck plus microphone is so noisy for some reason Maybe it's a driver issue ? it should say realtek hd audio not family 17h right ? i will list my PC specs down below :
    CPU Ryzen 5 1600
    MB MSI a320m grenade
    8 GB RAM
    GTX 1050ti
    1 TB HDD
here is the link for settings i use in alsamixer and system settings https://imgur.com/a/R1cxbMF

        Try this:
disable auto mute in alsmixer, as you have done, then use the sound widget like so:

This is how I do it on my laptop, but I do not have a line-out of course.

You might also have to experiment with device profiles as well, but this is unlikely to help, I think.

Else you may have to try editing Pulseaudio's configs:
        https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php...are_on-the-fly

This method should allow you to switch between ports using drag and drop from within the volume control widget

No clue, to be honest. My laptop says that as well, tho the speakers say "unavailable". My guess is that it cannot tell the difference between .unplugged and switched over. Perhaps it is unplugged, software-wise. Also might just be a minor bug.

What worked for you, the sound control widget in the systray, or did you have to do all the fancy file editing?
