problems with hibernation

Hi.

Does hibernation work well? I have enabled it since it does not come by default but when I give it to hibernate then it starts me as a new session. Until now I had not had problems with hibernation on my pc.

I have been reading and it seems that the hibernation mode in ubuntu 18.04 has changed and is not configured the same as before.

Does anyone know how to enable hibernation in kubuntu 18.04?

I worked out how to enable it in 18.04, but it doesn't work for me; the system hibernates, but on being switched on it does a cold boot, effectively killing off the hibernated session. So, I gave up and have forgotten how I did it.
