I saw the update icon in the tray so I clicked on it to get the updates. I clicked on the update button and entered my password. After a few seconds it said that the update was interrupted. I didn't do anything, so it must be a bug. It said to run dpkg config -a or so I thought. When I run that command in a terminal, it says that something is missing. Any idea what I missed? It only displayed for a few seconds and I barley had time to read it. Maybe I missed reading something. Is there a way to increase the time that a pop up message stays on the screen?

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

Ah, I made a couple of syntax errors due to not being able to read it fast enough before the pop up disappeared. It is fixed now. Thanks Snowhog.
No one posted how to change the time out for pop ups, so I can added a few seconds.Last edited by steve7233; May 05, 2018, 01:30 PM.Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.
