Rog reminded me that the widget I had to remove was the Media Frame widget- my human-RAM is getting old

jlittle: Not sure what you mean by "real" vs. virtual with regards to how a system behaves. I can say for sure that my 16GB of RAM filled and my system started swapping to disk, slowing to a near crawl. That's how I first discovered the problem.

That means "real" memory, actual RAM, was needed, and in my scenario the process is at least walking through the memory. I just thought I'd put the idea out; it might be relevant if the developers resist fixing it.

Something in the memory maps of the process might be useful in the bug reports.
