since I have 17.04 installed to a btrfs file system I figured I'd do a backup/snapshot of the current system in case things went south .
OK then we have full backups of the system ,,,,,,,,,, lets see what we are going to get .
I added the backports PPA and got ready to do the upgrade .
well ,,,,,lets go for it ,,,,,,,,
