Not much more to say except that after going all the way through the upgrade it popped a message saying that it could not install the "Kubuntu Desktop" and to send a bug report.
My Yakkity was very plain vanilla in terms of "tweaks", I do not change any of the appearance settings etc or any kind of shiny bauble tweaks since I use them as work machines.
Fortunately I copy ALL of my data to a usb stick so no loss.
