2 packages to update

Hi, this is my first post to the forum.
Just did a clean install of 16.10. Most everything working fine except...
The updates widget in the "taskbar"? at the bottom of the screen shows "2 packages to update".
When I select the "Update" button, Discover always shows me that the software on this computer is up to date.

Any ideas?

Open a konsole and type sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Thank you kindly. I was a whiz at Red Hat YEARS AGO, but have just come back to Linux since I have retired from the world of Windows Support. Still rusty and have lots of experience to gain.
