What did you include in your bug report?

I asked them to tell if they need any files. Here is copy of what I sent:
I just installed Yakaty Yak on my laptop and the WIFI is not working nor did it work during a fresh install from a disk. I had 15.10 and downloaded yakaty Yak then used kb3 or whatever it's called to burn the ISO image. All previous versions of Kubuntu have had WIFI working since I think 10 something. I forgot exactly it was so many years ago. I can probably copy any files you need to look at like logs or whatever. I am using WinDoz$ 7 on my desktop only because I have USB 3.0 and haven't figured out how to get Grub to boot Linux yet. I hate having to use Windows it is so irritating.Last edited by steve7233; Nov 01, 2016, 02:22 PM.Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

The battery won't hold a charge correctly so maybe it's a hardware problem? Yes I ordered a replacement battery from HP. IT still doesn't charge correctly. That's why I can't move it. Success! Thanks vinney, it was the correct package. I just forgot to run apt-get update first. This problem is solved. I will try more tomorrow. By the way I installed the same distro and version on my brother's computer and he found a bug in VLC (media player). When he tried to goto a place under the computer menu from the KDE menu it launches VLC instead of Dolphin. I investigated and discovered the directory extension was associated with VLC before dolphin. I deleted the VLC association and it was fixed. Like the Staples slogan ' That was easy' but others might not catch it right away. It was a fresh install so I don't know if a distro update does this or just a fresh install.Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.
