Hi there,
It's been a while that I haven't used a linux system. I just installed Kubuntu 16.10 on my old laptop and everything is running fine.
Only the printer doesn't want to work. There's no ppd files or CUPS driver for this model. But I have used this printer under linux MINT 14 (almost) without problems.
I've searched the net, on the RICOH website and in several forums, but couldn't find a solution.
What happens with the generic CUPS driver is, the print job is sent to the printer, it starts to print and completely empties the paper cartridge with just a line of total humbug
on every page.
Does anybody have a clue here or is even using this printer?
I'd be very grateful for any help or pointers/links to "how to's" or whatever.
Thanks a lot and have a great weekend all of you,
Raphael
Solved: using the driver AFICIO 220 (recommended), printer mainly works. Haven't worked out yet all the functions, but I can print my docs
