Continued Kgpg problems / GnuPG Agent

In addition to the "file associations" problem I posted elsewhere, which persist, I'm now running into this error message:

The use of GnuPG Agent is enabled in GnuPG's configuration file (/home/user/.gnupg/gpg.conf).
However, the agent does not seem to be running. This could result in problems with signing/decryption.
Please disable GnuPG Agent from KGpg settings, or fix the agent.

I am able to DECRYPT existing .asc encrypted files, but can encrypt no new files.

How do I get to the "Kgpg settings" or "fix the agent"?

    I switched to Kleopatra

Ah, thanks, GreyGeek. I think you've suggested that before and I forgot it. I've used Kleopatra in the past and will install it now.
