the nework monitor you link to is for Ubuntu unity .

rite click your desktop>add widgets,,,,,,,,,a list of widgets will apear on the rite side of the screen ,,,,scrole down to "network moitor" ,,,,,drag and drop it to the desktop or panel .

OK, so you're new. Are you new to forums too?

At least on this forum, you're much more likely to get responses if you don't do silly things like enlarge the font and center the text. If you're looking for serious help, make your post look serious. Many people may just skip this thread without even reading it because at first glance, it just looks silly.

To your question: As you discovered, the Unity applet will not work on Kubuntu and neither will any other Unity applet. Kubuntu uses Plasma 5 (aka KDE) for it's desktop environment and Ubuntu uses Unity. Even though Kubuntu shares it's code-base with Ubuntu, the desktop environments are not compatible and AFAIK have very little in common code-wise. So Plasma Widgets don't work on Unity either.

I don't use Network Manager, but I believe the System Tray Network has a up/down speed graph in it as well as traffic stats. You should have a Network icon in your Systray. Look for it and see if it has settings to turn on the graph display.

Hopefully. someone else will come along and give a more positive answer.

We cross-posted Vinny. I didn't know about that widget - neat.

I guess I should see what else I'm missing!

Stole Downloaded the graphic (it was a wallpaper) and modded it a bit - then added the Neon version and specs. Came out pretty neat if I say so myself.

One thing I'll say about that widget - no bueno on a dark background. It's too dark and I can't see a way to lighten the graph colors. Can you file a bug on a widget?

Basically, it seems as if it KNemo isn't available for 16.04. That said, Rog131 'might' have some insight on this, so 'stay tuned'.
