Dolphin not allowing Paste to SAMBA folder when displayed in a window.

I'm using Neon and another person pointed this out. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this:

Using Dolphin, select a local file and right-click-copy it.
Open a SAMBA share and open a folder.
    Right-click in the folder.
Notice the "Paste" option is unavailable (grayed out).

I am able to drag a file from local-folder-to-samba-folder. I am able to right-click-paste into a SAMBA folder IF I right click on the folder icon - but not on the window displaying the folder contents.

Hmmm, I should search for bugs before posting: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366795

Yeah I get that too for Samba, but it doesn't happen for FTP or SSHFS.

I normally use Dolphin in split mode and drag stuff over, at which point I'm given the option to move or copy to the new location.

I found out why I couldn't find Windows shares from Neon: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11841

I ran into this msg: "NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED" repeatedly trying to link my Neon host to either my WinXP or Maui1 guests.

Apparently it is in LOTS of distros.

        so, setting:

        client max protocol = SMB3
client ipc max protocol = NT1

fixes browsing on smb4k and logging on to passwordless windows shares.

however "client max protocol = SMB3" breaks browsing with dolphin (no machines appear).

mounting with dolphin and smb4k is still broken because they use smbmount/mount.cfs which dont pick up these values from the smb.conf.

I'm sure this is all Microsoft's fault, somehow
