Can mouse actions be altered for Dolphin?

Can mouse actions be altered for Dolphin? I notice, for example, that the "+" button for highlighting files has the same action whether any of the three mouse buttons is pressed. Is it possible for the end-user to change the action of the middle and right mouse buttons via a configuration file (to range-select as with shift-click, for example) or are these things defined in the source?

'Range selection' in Dolphin is simple. Just click+drag outside of an icon to draw a rectangle around the icons you want selected.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

That was an example, but thanks -- I hadn't noticed that feature.
