I have just upgraded from 14.04 to 16.04 without any problems so far. It runs smooth and does what 14.04 used to do. However, I can't seem to install Google Earth any more. After using the step described here:
http://www.webupd8.org/2014/04/insta...untu-1404.html
I get a note at the end that says this:
Package lsb-core is not installed.
dpkg: error processing package google-earth-stable:i386 (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for menu (2.1.47ubuntu1) ...
Processing triggers for man-db (2.7.5-1) ...
Processing triggers for mime-support (3.59ubuntu1) ...
Processing triggers for desktop-file-utils (0.22-1ubuntu5) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
google-earth-stable:i386
steve@steve-desktop:/tmp$
From what I can see, lsb-core is the problem; it doesn't seem to exist anymore. Any suggestions?
