Low memory storage - need assistance

Trying to install Kubuntu and received low memory message.

Tried to free memory (see below) and realized that I need assistance before continuing.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

What are you attempting to install Kubuntu to?

You are correct. Computer seem to be frozen and turned it off while installing live using Unetboot on to the hard drive (not using CD or Flash).

It looks to me from the first post like you mounted the hard drive to /cdrom somehow. A few points:

                    1. Don't mount the hard drive, let the installer do it.
                    2. You can't run "sudo apt-get update" of the USB drive because it's read-only and 100% full. Even if it wasn't there's no advantage to doing that if you're going to install to the hard drive.
                    3. You're not getting "low memory messages". Memory is RAM. "no space left on device" means the drive (the USB drive is this case) is full - low on storage or drive space would be the correct way to refer to that problem.

Reboot to the USB. Don't mount the hard drive or attempt to update the USB drive, just click on "Install Kubuntu" or what the icon on the desktop says. Then if you have problems, post back...
