Need help upgrading to 16.04

Hello,

I tried to upgrade from 15.10 by running the following yet I'm getting an error that no new releases are available. How do I upgrade 15.10?

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo do-release-upgrade -d

sudo do-release-upgrade -d
should do it (even with out the -d now as its a real release)

Hi Sithlord48! I tried this last night and received the no new releases are available message again. I'll try again tonight when I get home, is there usually a staggered delay for Kubuntu releases?

It should be notifing you that there is a new release available. What's in /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades?

I checked again and no go. I checked release-upgrades and it has the following:

# Default behavior for the release upgrader.


[DEFAULT]
# Default prompting behavior, valid options:
#
# never - Never check for a new release.
# normal - Check to see if a new release is available. If more than one new
# release is found, the release upgrader will attempt to upgrade to
# the release that immediately succeeds the currently-running
# release.
# lts - Check to see if a new LTS release is available. The upgrader
# will attempt to upgrade to the first LTS release available after
# the currently-running one. Note that this option should not be
# used if the currently-running release is not itself an LTS
# release, since in that case the upgrader won't be able to
# determine if a newer release is available.
Prompt=lts

If I understand this correctly it should be checking for 16.04.

I changed, "Prompt=lts" to "Prompt=normal" and its downloading the update.
