Hi all,
I'm having trouble with my system after upgrading to 16.04. I have it set to suspend after 30 minutes of inactivity. 80% of the time, this works like you'd expect. About 20% of the time, when I wake it up, the login screen is different. When I log in, I'm in a new session (all the apps I left open are closed), and I get a small xmessage window with the message "Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation." I can ignore the error message and use the system like normal, but if I click "okay" it sends me to a blank screen. Occasionally (10% of the time?) there is a kwin_x11 process using 50% cpu time.
I haven't been able to find any solutions on Google -- sorry if I've overlooked something obvious! I'm relatively new to KDE. If there's anything I can post to clarify things, please let me know.
Thanks so much!
