Hello
I recently installed Kubuntu 16.04. Had some issues when upgrading from 14.04.. for some reason when I left upgrading overnight the session locked and could not get back... so I lost that and had to reinstall from scratch... never mind. Luckily I had everything backed up.
I reinstalled my system using a USB stick. I had to try at least three times because in the first two tries for some reason it didn't finish. Finally I got it installed (I did some changes in partition since I have a dual boot with Win7 which is installed in sda1/2..).
Anyway after finishing installation everything looked good but as I started using it my machine started hanging -completely. I'm not able to ctrl-alt-F1 or anything-. Seems to be random, when trying to open Mozilla, or when looking for programs in Discovery... For example I clicked on system updates (I had >400Mb in updates), I left it updating overnight, and it didn't freeze. But then I installed Chromium and when navigating to some page it did.
Can somebody help see what's going on? maybe taking a look at my logs?
I have a 500GB HD, Nvidia GTX-660 card, M-audio 1010lt soundcard (it detects the realtek from the motherboard but I disabled it), 2 GB RAM, Intel i3 processor. I have a WD external drive via USB.
I haven't installed any driver whatsoever, it's a clean install.
I appreciate your inputs.
