Interesting. Have you seen this Q&A concerning debsums? http://unix.stackexchange.com/questi...debsums-output

No, I hadn't. A very interesting site. Thanks for the heads up!

I tried it too (for fun and giggles) and was told that no such command exists!

This is what I got. I have no idea if it is important or not.

            steve@steve-desktop:~$ sudo debsums -c
            [sudo] password for steve:
            /usr/share/doc/libkmod2/changelog.Debian.gz
debsums: missing file /usr/share/bug/libvlc5/control (from libvlc5 package)
debsums: missing file /usr/share/bug/libvlc5/presubj (from libvlc5 package)
debsums: missing file /usr/share/doc/libvlc5/copyright (from libvlc5 package)
debsums: missing file /usr/share/bug/vlc-nox/control (from vlc-nox package)
debsums: missing file /usr/share/bug/vlc-nox/presubj (from vlc-nox package)
            steve@steve-desktop:~$

It seems to be referring to the VLC player, which I haven't used recently.

              Missing some vlc files.
You might want to reinstall vlc or uninstall it.
