Amarok won't load and or play Magnatune...

I couldn't manage to load and play Magnatune in Amarok.
Then I saw in an other thread of this forum these links:

I installed and it works.

Only just I got updates for amarok (amarok_2.8.0-0ubuntu9_amd64.deb). I installed the updates and again Magnatune won't work.
So I installed the amarok_2.8.0-0ubuntu7_amd64.deb again.
This is not the first time I am dissappointed by Kubuntu Xenial.

There's a free (with ads) stream available - at least last time I checked. There's actually some good stuff on there. All independent artists, too.

I could not find a free version other than a reference to being able to cancel an account after 7 days at no charge, and that came from googling, not digging around the website itself, which only advertises a one-time $299 for the whole shebang deal.
