    Driver Manager not Working

    Hi

Fresh install just now of kubuntu 16.04

How long should the driver "tool" need to run before it finds out and lists what additional drivers are available.

It has been running 15 mins and still nothing is showing. I am running in nomodeset mode as nouveau never works with this setup (virtually all distro's I have tried fail to work out of the box - I have to use nomodeset until I can get nvidia installed).

    Code:

To understand true frustration, one must only go so far as to install Linux!!! and then came Kubuntu and the World is at peace again

update - I have manually added nvidia-367 but would still like to know why the driver management software is not working ?

It's a bug in the GUI. You can run "sudo ubuntu-drivers" from a Konsole, IIRC.
