Asus NVIDIA GeForce EN210 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card

Mine is a simple Intel with on board VGA. I was using a 17" Sony 1280x1024 HS75 monitor 15 years old! Working very well but when I open multiple apps. this monitor is not for me.

Now I upgraded it to Sanyo 1920x1080 monitor. I am thinking of ordering Asus NVIDIA GeForce EN210 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card. Is any one using this AGP. I do not play games, I do watch movies. There is a slight distortion with this VGA display as is . It is only 256 MH 666 MHz, DDR 2 RAM. I am sure a an AGP will be better. But before I place an order I would like to know if this works.

    Thanks for any feedback

If you are not playing games and are only watching videos and DVD or NetFlix movies then the NVIdia GPU is overkill. The default driver that is installed will be more than enough to give a good image.

Intel with VGA? More than likely it is the i915 module using nouveau driver, which is what mine is and on my 17" screen the movies are great! Someday I may hook an HDMI to this laptop and plug it into the 32" VIZIO TV in my living room to see how it works on that device.

Thanks GreyGeek, I can place an order to-day and get it in 4 days.

Yes a 32" Smart TV is great. I can work comfortably with Keypass, Web Browser and one more window open without compromising any window view. It has 2 USB, 2 HDMI, Component and Video inputs in addition to VGA input. A Panasonic (Sanyo). Only problem is refresh rate, this is 60 Hz. Sony is 75. I can feel that while using.
