    WIFI Driver Fails periodically

    Hello gurus,
Please read my predicament patiently and offer a solution , I am relatively a newbie.

I recently installed Kubuntu 16.04 and have been having periodic problems with WIFI.

Now the problem is constant, I am attaching a screenshot.
When I boot, the WIFI driver is disabled and all i see is a orange box please see screenshot.
I then reboot and switch to Recovery mode, selecting Networking.
Then it continues to boot, (not reboot) then the WIFI driver loads but only 1 monitor is enabled.
Then when I reboot to get all 3 of monitors to show the issue resurfaces.

I have searched everywhere but couldn't get a solution to work.

Please let me know what commands to run and i will provide the output.
This issue is really frustrating, I never had any problems with 14.04 though.

    Thank you!

The computer is a HP 9840M.

Possible solutions: 1) roll back to the previous kernel, or 2) roll back to 14.04
