Flac Media will not play in Applications

    Flac Media will not play in Applications

    When I try to open flac files, Amarok and VLC crashes, no problems in mp3. Flac played when using preview in Dolphin or ffplay.
    When using Kid3, a Tag manager, that is capable to play media, an error "Das konfigurierte Audioziel >>audio-output-bin<< funktioniert nicht" what say, the configured audio-output is not functional.
    Therefore I tried to switch the Phonon Backend into VLC in System Settings, unfortunately it dosn`t appear there.
    The gstreamer-plugins base, bad and good in version 1.0 are installed.
    Someone the same experience?

    As far as I know, qt5multimedia is still using gstreamer 0.10, so make sure to install the gstreamer 0.10 packages as well (gstreamer0.10-alsa gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse gstreamer0.10-plugins-base gstreamer0.10-plugins-good gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly). To see what is going on, there are a few useful gstreamer environment variables, see <http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/data/doc/gstreamer/head/gstreamer/html/gst-running.html>. You could start the application which makes problems from a shell, e.g. using "GST_DEBUG=3 name-of-application".

      OK, installing gstreamer0.10 and plugins bring back the flac playback in Kid3, but Amarok and VLC still crashes. If I start VLC with GST_DEBUG=3, picked up a flac file, following happend:

      Next try, remove gstreamer1.0.x, but to much dependencies.
      As i used Kid3 for tagging flac files and don´t uses my pc as a sound source, this will work for me.
