    Cannot clean History

    Hello all,

I can not clean the entire history, only the used programs can be deleted, but the rest (like pictures and other stuff) will stay.
It stays in "documents" , how can i clean the entire history ?
Which path do i follow to clean the entire history.

Not sure what you want exactly.
To clean Firefox, for example, you can do History (tab) > Clear Recent/all history and/or cookies. You can clear the Clipboard history. And so on. Also, you can look at, maybe try, Bleachbit,
    http://bleachbit.sourceforge.net/
Download there; or, in 14.04, it also shows up in the Muon Package Manager.
And if you do try it, you might post, asking for opinions here what files to set for cleaning, there may be some opinions here. Some users confidently clean everything; and some users here advise not to use Bleachbit at all. I use it, but I am careful what files I select for cleaning. Sometimes after surfing awhile, it may find hundreds, or even 1000-2000 useless files to clean.
Some files, like tmp files, are cleaned by your system every time you re-boot, or shutdown and boot up.

I mean from the START menu, you can`t clean everything from the history, only used programs can be wiped away but the rest stays.
Where can or how can i clean the entire history.
(sorry i was a windows user)

There is KDE Sweeper, which you must install -- BUT it doesn't clean very much. Just like Windows cleaners. In Windows, you must use something like CCleaner to really clean up stuff. We use CCleaner in XP and in Windows 8.1 and will use it in Windows 10 when it gets installed here.

Hmmm ... I've studied cleaning w/Kubuntu, but can't think of anything in the Start menu that does it ... If I have another idea, I'll post back.

          Kickoff - Kicker - etc

          Launchers

          KDE Userbase: https://userbase.kde.org/Plasma_application_launchers

          KF5 Launchers

Bug 344575 - "Recent Documents" is messing with privacy and security - needs configuration - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344575

          KIcker can 'forget'

          Kickoff ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344575#c13 ):
Kickoff is not using the new system yet.

          Kickoff is using ~/.local/share/RecentDocuments/

With the Kickoff clear the ~/.local/share/RecentDocuments/

^ Kickoff will soon be ported to the Kicker backend for parity. Then you'll have per-document and per-application and global forgetting all right in the launcher.
