I upgraded from 14.10 to 15.04 a couple days ago. I found that after I put the system to sleep, when I woke it up again my internet connection (wired) was very, very slow. Email was slow to connect and webpages in Firefox were slow to render. The only way to get back to a normal connection speed was to reboot the system. I searched the forums and the net to see if anyone was having a similar issue but didn't find anything. I'm a longtime Kubuntu user (since 10.04 overall - since 13.10 on this computer) but I'm not a techie, but after reading up on what other people said about the differences between Plasma 5.1 and 5.3, I decided to enable the backports repository and upgrade to 5.3, thinking that might fix it. While 5.3 seems faster and smoother overall, I'm still having the same issue with the slow internet connection after resuming from sleep mode. Does anyone have a clue as to what might cause this?
