some ctrl keyboard shorcuts stopped working in 15.04

I can not use ctrl-left-arrow or ctrl-right-arrow to jump between the words (vim, kate, anywhere).
I also noticed that ctrl++ and ctrl+- works only if I press + or - on main section (not on numpad right).
How can I fix this - I program in vim and I desperately need ctrl-right-arrow to work.
In all previous versions since I remember it worked.
I have HP 4730s. Please help me, thanks, Gregor

I can tell you here, all those functions work. The problem is likely with your locale (language) or your keyboard layout. I did notice that "ctrl +" on the main keys produce keycode 21 and "ctrl +" on my numpad produced keycode 86.

You might look at your application keyboard shortcuts and make sure they're set correctly also look at the output of xmodmap -pke and see if it looks complete.
