Something is really different

Cant drag Icons down to panel as is previous distros and I keep having to log back in if left alone for a few minutes. Any one have any answers? thanks

Have you tried right-clicking and selecting add to panel? If you like a more classic launcher you can also right click over the launcher icon and select "Alternatives" , "Application Launcher".... it's more to my taste anyway
