    Clunky icons on desktop

I'm running Kubuntu 15.04. If I go to the K menu, select an application, and click on "Add to Desktop", I get a rectangle on the desktop with the name of the application in a font too big to fit in the rectangle without wrapping. In 14.10 I got what I was expecting: the application's icon on the desktop. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

if you rite click the desktop and select "unlock widgets" then point at the "icon/widget" a bar should pop out the side of it and you can resize it ,,,,,some

      Unlocking widgets doesn't help

The widgets were already unlocked, but I relocked them and unlocked them again. No effect. I can bring out the control bar on the side of each icon, but the only thing that provides is setting a keyboard shortcut. No way to change or even move the icon.

Vinny, do you get icons on your desktop (assuming you're running Plasma 5)?

Just like in KDE4, desktop widgets will have a "handle" that pops out to allow moving, resizing, etc. The rectangle at the top of this handle is where you click and drag to resize. You click on an empty section of the handle to drag and move.

I have idea where/how to remove the label, though.
