How to remove annoying desktop widget

Just installed Kubuntu 15.04, loving the Plasma desktop, one thing though, I find no use for this widget as shown in the top right hand corner picture that is there by default, so I would like to remove it. Does anyone know how, 'cause I have tried for about 30 minutes without success. Thanks in advance !

An option to turn it off in Desktop Settings is included in the Plasma 5.3 Beta -- currently available from the Kubuntu Beta PPA.

There are other semi-complicated ways. Search here for 'cashew'.

Thanks for the tip, didn't know what the thing was called, so it made searching for a way to remove it hard.
Anyway, got rid of it with this:
