change application icon

Hi all,

how do I change the icons associated to applications? I mean the ones that appear in the system menu, or when I move an application in a panel.
I don't want to change the whole theme. Just one or two icons (like xterm) which don't really blend in...

The KDE Menu Editor is not working ?

KMenuEdit allows editing the menu of KDE application launchers: Kickoff, classic K menu or Lancelot Launcher.

KMenuEdit can be started either by right mouse button clicking the application launcher button on the panel and choosing Edit Applications..., or by typing kmenuedit in the KRunner line...
