where are stored xorg default config and monitor details ?

Hi,

i have an issue with laptop resolution under X.
my xorg.conf file is not used and i always have the grub default GFX mode for desktop/session part.
I would like to know where i should do the changes to have a good session GFX resolution.

i downloaded the NVidia driver from nvidia.com and install the same version as in "system settings" and now everything works well except the font size.

Now font size is bigger than original one after kubuntu installation.

Ok once font size fixed to 96dpi everything work perfectly.
