Has anyone had any luck with getting smart cards to work at login. I have gotten mine to work with sudo-i. I have tried editing pam.d/common-auth with this line:
auth [success=3 default=ignore] pam_pkcs11.so
I have gotten this to work on Ubuntu 14.04 and Debian 6 by editing pam.d/common-auth.
This will work from a tty, but not at the GUI login. Is there a different file in pam.d that needs to be edited?
