    This is mine:

    BootCurrent: 0001

    Timeout: 0 seconds
    BootOrder: 0001,2001,2002,2003
    Boot0000* Unknown Device:
    Boot0001* Kubuntu
    Boot0002* Unknown Device:
    Boot0003* Unknown Device:
    Boot0004* Unknown Device:
    Boot0005* Unknown Device:
    Boot0006* Unknown Device:
    Boot0007* Unknown Device:
    Boot0008* Unknown Device:
    Boot0009* Unknown Device:
    Boot000A* Unknown Device:
    Boot000B* Unknown Device:
    Boot000C* Unknown Device:
    Boot000D* Unknown Device:
    Boot000E* ubuntu
    Boot2001* EFI USB Device
    Boot2002* EFI DVD/CDROM
    Boot2003* EFI Network

I do not know why so many unknown devices. It says Kubuntu because when I said to trust shimx64.efi, it asked me to give a name, and I wrote Kubuntu.

Yesterday I tried telling efibootmgr to boot from "ubuntu", but it didn't work, it showed me always the USB drive.

        Code:
        [FONT=monospace]BootOrder: 0001,2001,2002,2003
        Boot0001* [B]Kubuntu[/B] [/FONT]
That works. I've never seen an entry for Kubuntu, though (unless the user creates it manually). Usually any Ubuntu derivative OS (K(U)buntu, Mint, Xubuntu, etc.) all share the same directory /efi/boot/EFI/ubuntu.

That instance of "ubuntu" may have been the USB flash drive installer for Kubuntu? (which would now be unplugged)

I don't know, either. It is not uncommon for the firmware to accumulate a bunch of entries that seem cryptic or are no longer relevant or in use. I just ignore them.

Re-booting sometimes solves some of these strange happenings
