I installed 15.04 on my Toshiba laptop. Installation completed. Unable to start Kubuntu.
Compter starts and produces this error message:
We are sorry, sddm-greeter closed unexpectedly.
Details:
executable: sddm-greeter PID: 937 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Tie: 06/25/15 19:28:25.
I managed to get around this error twice by going into recovery mode and installing missing files.
However this works no longer. I now end up with the error message and nowhere to go.
I would attempt to use an older installation disk to repair the system but that would put me back to the old 12.04 installation. By the way, 12.04 starts up with the identical error.
What else could I do, please?
