I installed Ubuntu 15.04 on my laptop using a new hard drive (no previous installation of any kind).
Then I used aptitude to install lubuntu-desktop and kubuntu-desktop.
First, I had all sorts of problems with a conflict between LightDM and sddm. The only way I could stop that was to make sddm the manager.
The other problem is this: Kubuntu doesn't show up as a session option. I get to choose from Ubuntu and Lubuntu, no Kubuntu.
I tried uninstalling kubuntu-desktop and re-installing it. I tried both LightDM and sddm, but Kubuntu is not an option anywhere. (Oh, yes, still had the same conflict between LightDM and sddm until I selected sddm to be the manager).
Will I need to manually enter the Kubuntu option, and, if so, how do I do that?
Thanks.
